Original review updated Mar 28, 2025

Ipurchased replacement parts for a gazebo which was damaged by Hurricane Helene. I ordered parts in February to replace the damaged parts and they do not match the color of the original gazebo.

I called their customer service number and they will not allow me to get a refund on the parts.

Buyer beware! I have attached pictures of the original gazebo and the parts I received.

Shelterlogic's "Warranty" leaves the customer paying for shipping and the pro-rated amount of the product. For customer satisfaction, these charges should be FREE to anyone that has a warranty claim!!!

Original review Jun 20, 2024
Bought a Garage in a Box replacement cover kit for a 20X12 ft shed. The top tarp was warranty rated for 10 years and ripped after 2 years.

When I contacted this company, they Did offer me a replacement kit of the same quality, but charged over $300 which I did not pay. The original replacement cover that ripped cost in the neighborhood of $900.

I feel that if Shelterlogic truly valued it's customers, and strived to market quality products, they would have shipped me a new set of covers for free. I will not be doing business again with Shelterlogic, and will save my $300 plus for a new storage solution.

Cost of junk

You need to read your reviews.

You want to make an affordable shelter but junk is junk. Now I need a new cover and it is more than I paid for the complete shelter when I bought it.

You want to store stuff in your shed but dont trust these shelters to it dry.

They sweat like a *** and then 1 day you will walk in your shelter and the cover will be split open and everything will be ruined.

I totally agree. My replacement cover lasted for only 19 months.

They told me the replacement cover only last 2 years, but if I would like to buy the heavy duty replacement it would cost $410.00 which is more than what I paid originally for the whole shelter. BS no longer dealing with ShelterLogic.

Poor quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased this from Canadian tire about 2-3 years ago, the entire roof is split and torn in different areas, which started a year after installing it. We are extremely disappointed in this product for the amount of money it cost to be useless at this point.

We are forced to look for a replacement cover and find that will cost approximately $400.00.

Buying a shed may have been the wiser thing to do but our budget didn't allow for that. This is their response,

Here are your options:

The fabric you have now is 5.5/7.5 0z -90541

Life expectancy: 1-3 years

Price of cover kit: $337.99

14.5 0z HD PVC- Green, Grey, Tan, White

Life expectancy: 10-12 years

Warranty: 10/3 pro-rated 10 year pro-ration on cover and 3 year pro-ration on end panels

Cover kit price: $1013.99

21.5 0z Ultra Duty PVC - Green or White ONLY

Life expectancy: 15-20 years

Warranty: 15/3 pro-rated 15 year pro-ration on cover and 3 year pro-ration on end panels

Cover kit price: $1416.99.

Should have done our homework, no more shelterlogic for us.

ShelterLogic - Terrible fabric in shelter cover
ShelterLogic - Terrible fabric in shelter cover - Image 2

There is a 1 year warranty. That is understandable because the fabric is doing well to last a year.

With normal wear, less than 2 years and the fabric of the shelter started ripping, not on seams, but in the fabric body.

Of course it continually ripped and shredded from there. This is a very bad purchase.

Very Disappointed

.Purchased a 10x10 round top tarp shed from Costco Canada. Tarp disintegrated in 15 months.

Trying to get a replacement tarp or comparable replacement was a nightmare. Every time I called customer service, was told something different. Went in circles over 2 days only to find, they could ship the product to Canada in time for winter. Total sh!*show!

We are thankful that Costco will take it back for a full refund.

But now were scrambling to get another shed before winter. Preferably one that will last longer than one winter!
